Port Townsend -- Last night at 10:15, the City Council of Port Townsend unanimously voted to support the Marine Tourism Bill, which is NMTA's top legislative priority for next session. This bill would allow entity-owned out-of-state vessels the same cruising privileges as out-of-state individually-owned boats (180 days per year).
Their support is the latest in a string of endorsements. Other supporters besides NMTA include NYBA, the WA Public Ports Association, the Chambers of Anacortes, Jefferson County and Bellingham/Whatcom County.
