Take the Pledge to Save Boating in Andrews Bay

Lovely Andrews Bay on the southwest end of Lake Washington, adjacent to the Seward Park neighborhood, has long been one of the favored destinations on this 22-mile lake, situated between the cities of Kirkland and Bellevue on the eastern shore, and Seattle spanning the western shore.

As summer approaches and boating activity increases, it is important to be mindful of keeping boat wakes and noise to a minimum – a positive demonstration of responsible boating for all. We want to help ensure that Andrews Bay is available for anchorage in the future. This special bay is the only authorized and logical overnight anchorage east of the Ballard Locks.

RBAW (Recreational Boating Association of Washington) and NMTA (Northwest Marine Trade Association) have teamed up with the City of Seattle on a public education campaign entitled, “Respectful Play, So We Can Stay in the Bay,” asking boaters to do their part to preserve this asset on beautiful Lake Washington.

This Campaign includes the opportunity to win a $500 Shopping Spree at West Marine by filling out the pledge of respectful play at the following link: Take the Andrews Bay PledgeWaggoner, along with RBAW and NMTA, wish to thank boaters for respecting both our wildlife and human habitats for future enjoyment.

Respectful Play, So We Can Stay in Andrews Bay!
